PAEDIATRIC MASSAGE THERAPY
Is Massage just for small babies and adults? Of course not, Toddlers and Children also love and need positive touch, they crave it and they thrive on it.
Children need physical contact for healthy growth and development. Nurturing touch promotes physiological, neurological and psychological development and function.
Just as with adults, the symptoms of physical and emotional stress can often be alleviated by massage.
Massage is great for all children from infants to adolescents, and can be especially valuable for kids who have difficulties sleeping/are having nightmares, trouble focusing on their school work, digestive problems like constipation, sensory processing disorders, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis ,autism or ADHD, cerebral palsy , down syndrome, low/high muscle tone, ,allergies, asthma ,anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder etc
Similar to baby massage, parents can also learn basic massage techniques that they can use at home with their children. In paediatric massage, we very much follow the childs lead during the session. We bring lots of fun elements to the massage by creating stories (Story Massage), rhymes and songs to go along with the massage/reflexology, and let the child decide how they would like the session to go. Sessions last up to one hour which gives plenty of time for parents to learn some fun ad effective routines to use at home with their child .
Cost per one hour session of Paediatric Massage/Reflexology/Story Massage (or combination of all) : €40
